Merrick Garland Won’t Say if a Special Counsel will be Appointed For Pence Classified Documents (VIDEO)

US Attorney General Merrick Garland on Tuesday fielded questions after announcing a lawsuit against Google.

Garland refused to say if a special counsel would be appointed to investigate Mike Pence’s handling of classified documents.

On Tuesday it was reported that a “small number of documents bearing classified markings” were discovered at former Vice President Mike Pence’s Carmel, Indiana home.

According to CNN, Mike Pence had one of his lawyers search his residence for classified materials “out of an abundance of caution.”

“Vice President Pence was unaware of the existence of sensitive or classified documents at his personal residence,” Pence’s rep. Greg Jacob wrote. “Vice President Pence understands the high importance of protecting sensitive and classified information and stands ready and willing to cooperate fully with the National Archives and any appropriate inquiry.”

It wasn’t that long ago that Mike Pence told CNN he did not take any classified documents with him when he left office.

On Tuesday Mike Pence told Congress he found classified documents at his Indiana home last week.

A reporter asked Merrick Garland if he would be appointing a special counsel to investigate Mike Pence.

Merrick Garland would not say.
